"The Portrait Station was a massive hit at our wedding. We wanted our wedding to be the best party ever and for our loved ones to feel special, and the Portrait Station was such an awesome way to do that."

Thē Experience

There's a moment when a couple receives the portrait of themselves, a gift from the bride and groom. They hold the print with both hands. They don't say anything right away. They just look at it.

That's what Thē Portrait Company is here for.

We bring a professional portrait studio to your wedding: a clean white backdrop, editorial lighting, and a real photographer behind the camera. Every guest is greeted, directed, photographed, and given a fine-art black-and-white portrait before the night ends. Printed on-site. Worth framing.

Not a photo booth. Not a kiosk. Not a filter. No props. A portrait made by someone who is genuinely happy to help you celebrate with your guests.

For the person who's never liked a photo of themselves, it's the one they'll keep.

For you, it's the detail your guests will still be talking about a year from now. The thing nobody else thought of.

FAQs

Is this a photo booth?

1

No, and that distinction matters. A photo booth is automated. The Portrait Company is a high end, editorial portrait station with a photographer. Vanessa is behind the camera for every single portrait, directing every single guest. The result looks different because the process is different.

What do guests actually receive?

2

A fine-art black-and-white portrait, printed on-site during your event. Not a strip. A physical print, the kind worth putting in a frame.

How long does it take per guest?

3

About sixty seconds in front of the camera. The portrait station moves efficiently without ever feeling rushed. Most couples find that guests seek it out on their own, it becomes a natural part of cocktail hour or part of the reception.

Can we book the portrait station without booking Jeff for wedding photography?

4

Absolutely. The portrait station is independently bookable for weddings, corporate events, galas, and milestone celebrations.

What's the investment?

5

Hudson Valley and New Jersey weddings begin at $2000, depending on the number of wedding guests. NYC and surrounding boroughs as well as corporate and gala events are quoted by inquiry. We're happy to walk you through everything on an exploration call.

Can this replace our wedding favors??

6

Absolutely, and many couples choose the portrait station for exactly this reason. A fine-art portrait is personal in a way no generic favor ever is. Something they will bring home and cherish.

How it works and how it feels.

During cocktail hour, or as part of the reception, couples step up to the station. Vanessa greets them, shows them how to pose and have some fun in front of the camera. She directs without making it feel like a production. She's warm. She pays attention. The camera-shy uncle, the grandmother who insists she's unphotogenic, the friend who's had two glasses of champagne, she's thought about all of them.

The portraits are printed on-site and delivered by the end of the evening. Black and white. Fine-art editorial style.

No props. No silly hats. No gimmicks. Just your guests, a white backdrop, beautiful light, and a photographer who truly cares.
